5 Homemade Hair Oils for Hair Growth

Amla Hair Oil

This homemade oil is good for women suffering from damaged hair, premature graying and hair fall . It helps stimulate hair growth, cools the scalp and makes your hair shiny.

Material:

  • Amla – 1 handful
  • Coconut oil – 100 ml

Method:

  • To make amla hair oil, take a handful of dry amla.
  • Grind it coarsely by mixing it in 100 ml pure coconut oil.
  • Store it in an airtight glass bottle.
  • Keep the bottle in sunlight daily for about 15 days.
  • Then filter the oil and store it.
  • The oil can be used to apply to the hair.

Do you know? Onion oil is rich in sulfur, which helps nourish the hair follicles, strengthen the hair strands, and promote healthy hair growth.

Badam Oil

The nourishing oil can make your hair soft and strong. It is rich in vitamin B-7 or biotin, so almond oil helps in keeping the hair healthy and strong. It can also help protect your hair from sun damage with its natural SPF 5. You can use almond oil as a scalp treatment.

Material:

  • Almond oil – 1 tablespoon
  • Jojoba oil – 1 tablespoon
  • Vitamin E Capsule – 1
  • Lemongrass and Rosemary essential oils – 4 drops

Method:

  • You mix all the things together.
  • Mix together and store in a glass bottle.
  • Apply to hair a night before shampoo.

Curry Leaves Oil

Hair oil can be made from coconut oil with curry leaves. This magical oil strengthens your hair, adds elasticity and restores the amount of melanin in your follicles. The Vitamin-B content present in it helps in improving the health and shine of your hair and also gives it a nice scent.

Material:

  • Coconut oil – 3 tbsp
  • curry leaves – handful

Method:

  • Take coconut oil and add a handful of curry leaves to it.
  • Heat this mixture in a pan till you get black residue.
  • Let it cool and keep it in a bottle in a cool place.
  • Warm it a little before using it.

Aloe Vera Oil

Aloe vera oil or aloe vera gel for hair offers many benefits including treating hair fall, dandruff and dry scalp. It strengthens as well as nourishes your hair and restores the pH balance of your scalp and hair.

Material:

  • Aloe vera gel – 1/2 cup
  • Coconut oil – 1/2 cup
  • Rosemary essential oil – 5 drops

Method:

  • Take an aloe vera leaf and cut it into two parts.
  • Extract all the gel from the leaf.
  • Take half a cup of this gel and add half a cup of coconut oil to it (the mixture should be 50-50).
  • Heat the mixture on low flame for 5-7 minutes and let it cool completely.
  • Add rosemary essential oil to this cold mixture.
  • Before using this oil, keep it in a bottle in a cool and dark place.

Hibiscus Oil

Hibiscus leaves and flowers can be used to make hair oil. It is a rich source of vitamins. In addition, hibiscus is rich in vitamins A, C and other nitrifying minerals that promote hair growth , improve volume and make your hair silky and shiny.

Material:

  • Hibiscus leaves – 1/2 cup
  • Hibiscus flowers – 2
  • Coconut oil – 3 tbsp
  • Almond oil – 3 tbsp

Method:

  • Take some hibiscus flowers and leaves. Then wash them and let them dry in the sun.
  • Heat pure coconut oil and almond oil, sun-dried leaves and flowers in a pan.
  • Heat for 5 minutes.
  • Let it cool down.
  • Then filter the oil and keep it in a bottle in a cool place for a week.
  • Heat the oil a little each time you use it.

With the help of these homemade oils, you too can increase the growth of your hair. However, these oils are completely made from natural ingredients and do not have any side effects. But still do a patch test before using it once.
